Robert Downey Jr. returns as a wealthy playboy whose exploits as Iron Man are now public. In this sequel, in which Gwyneth Paltrow again co-stars, Downey is pitted against his Russian arch nemesis, Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) and corporate rival Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). Scarlett Johansson and Don Cheadle also join the cast.
